Earth, Wind (air), Fire and Water are represented in this elegant series. Stones and shells and other inlay materials were chosen based on both their visual effect, and also on their representative energies.
The Earth Guitar
Indian Rosewoood back and sides give this guitar a warm earthy feel, with Master grade Engelman Spruce top. The tree of knowledge is in-layed with powdered Ebony wood and, amber and jade in the leaves. Pictured here, is the OM model with black 510 Gotoh tuners, 25.4″ scale Mahogany neck with 14 fret, Ebony binding and beveled arm rest. 15″ lower bout, 11-1/4″ upper bout, 4-1/2″ deep, 19-5/16″ long. Indian rosewood can be upgraded to Ziricote, and this guitar can be crafted as a Parlour, OOO, OO, OM, MJ, or Dreadnaught.
Indian rosewood and Ziricote carry a rich, warm responsive tone delivering clear and tight bass projection without over-shadowing the mid-range or trebles. Strong projection even when played lightly. Ziricote offers a fantastic finger-style guitar while Indian rosewood favors bluegrass, flat-picking style players.
The Wind Guitar
Master grade Sitka spruce with in-layed oyster shells in the shape of a cyclone represents the wind on the top, and the pillowy cloud formations of this curly West Coast Big Leaf Maple represent the wind element on the back and sides. Figured Holly binding, Mahogany neck, Walrus tusk nut and saddle, and beveled arm rest round out the guitar. Pictured here, is the Mini Jumbo with black 510 Gotoh tuners, 25.4″ scale Mahogany neck with 14 fret. 15-1/2″ lower bout, 11-5/8″ upper bout, 4-1/2″ deep, 19-15/16″ long. Can be crafted as a Parlour, OOO, OO, OM, MJ, or Dreadnaught.
Maple is often under-rated, but is well known for imparting bright tone to an instrument, good balance, with excellent separation, great for recording studios. Western Maple is softer and warmer than it’s eastern cousins. It is the least common of the figured Maples.
The Fire Guitar
Master grade bear-clawed Sitka spruce top with warm Walnut back and sides. The rosette is in-layed in the shape of flames, with Turquoise stone, red coral, jet (petrified coal), and Manzanita root. This guitar features Ebony binding, Mahogany neck, Walrus tusk nut and saddle. Pictured here, is the dreadnought model with 510 Gotoh tuners, 25.4″ scale Mahogany neck with 14 fret. Can be crafted as a Parlour, OOO, OO, OM, MJ, or Dreadnaught.
Walnut is an excellent tone-wood falling sonically between the warm dark sounds of Indian Rosewood and the bright bell-like ring of Maple, yielding excellent balance of tone. A fantastic guitar for flat-picking or light finger-style.
The Water Guitar
The Water element guitar features an in-layed rosette in the shape of ocean wave, and is made up of mussels, abalone, clam, coral, oyster shells and turquoise. Highly figured Koa wood back and sides from Hawaii, master grade Sitka spruce top, Walrus tusk nut and saddle. Koa wood offers a rich, sweet, resonant tone. The warm snappy sound has a strong mid-range and sparkling high end.
